baddfeccc Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Like several others on the forums I have been trying fo about a month started way down around 75 for 4 stars and how now reached 100 with still no success. With the trip only 2 weeks away I am growing anxious and looks like for low 100's people are getting 3-4 stars which I may settle on on the next few days. I also was offer a 4 star for 112 on a 90 bid which I am now regretting not taking considering it is taking at least 100 to win 3 stars right now. I even added Lincoln park today which is a nice area and short bus or train ride for 80 and was rejected...I refuse to pay more for that area with it being a little out of the way. Bidding progress to date as follows for both NMA and Millenium areas4 Star started 75 now at 1003 plus now at 1003 now at 902 plus now at 86All no success. Appreciate everyones feedback it has been helpful and will keep you posted.

baddfeccc Posted May 31, 2011 Author Report Posted May 31, 2011 Counter offer was last friday I believe. Just looked into rebid procedures thanks to your tutorials and rebid on NMA using your PRICELINE link and won the Residence Inn by Marriot Chicago for 103. Reviews are excellent and has a pool on 27th floor and free hot breakfast and right downtown just off the mile. Thrilled about the win. Rebidded 105 for 4 star NMA and Millenium - Rejected and same for 3 plus. Lower to 103 for 3 star and got the Marriott. The rest of my old max bids were in the preceeding post. Thanks again for everyones feedback. It is more than I expected to pay since I just stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Feb for 75 but I guess I underestimated the seasonal fluctuations but the free breakfast makes up for an extra 2 bucks a day for a family of 4.Looks like great reviews and awesome location with pool and free breakfast. Couldnt be happier. Happy bidding everyone.Pool and free hot breakfast. Awesome location.
AaronJB Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)First-rate deal for this Residence Inn property, which is only a year or two old and in a great River North location.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
