just was following the postings here and also got the Waldorf for 120 a night on a weekend.

I got a cheap flight on USAir, this will be a 'decently' priced NYC weekend!!!!!

question for all...

as I have never used priceline before what are the odds of me not getting a non-smoking room.

I can't stand smoke and definetly hope I do not get stuck in that kind of room....?

Would it make a difference also if I am Hilton Gold?

Thank you for sharing your win with the rest of the board, we're glad to know the information here helped save you some money and made an otherwise expensive city (like NYC) affordable.

Your chances of a non-smoking room will depend upon a lot of factors such as occupancy levels, availability, mood of check-in person, time of day you check-in, etc, etc.

You can certainly call the hotel now and put in a request for non-smoking as well as any other requests (bed type) that you may have. Here is another link that may be of interest to you: AFTER BIDDING INSTRUCTIONS.

As well, i highly recommend Ess-A-Bagel one morning for breakfast... inexpensive (counter service with tables you can take your try to) and is near your hotel (51st St and Third Ave)... one of the best bagels in the city!

This was my first ever priceline bid, so yup, it was my first bed in the MET zone :)

I called the hilton and put in the request for non-smoking and bed type.

I'm hoping, but I doubt my gold status will have some weight on that weekend
