Jennerizer Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 I was showing someone else how to use Priceline so I bid lower than I usually would for a resort....never thinking it would be accepted. In March, I was bidding for this area & couldn't get anything under $100.I bid $65 & got this location. I am familiar with the area & am thrilled it is right across the street from downtown Disney. :) Hilton Orlando Resort Lake Buena Vista1751 Hotel Plaza BoulevardLake Buena Vista, FL 32830407-827-4000 Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $65.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $260.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $44.68 (USD) Total Room Cost: $304.68 (USD) Used the PRICELINE link on this web site. Thanks!
thereuare Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Congratulations on your success!Glad to see this 'example' turned out to be a great win! The plus is that your friend sees just how good the deals can be and that you should always begin a little lower then you expect to win... the con is that they may expect wins like this every time! :)Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding (and for incorporating BetterBidding into the teaching process).Enjoy your stay. Jennerizer Posted June 3, 2011 Author Report Posted June 3, 2011 I don't see what qualifies this hotel as a resort. It's a nice place, but does not compare to The Grand Cypress or World Marriott. I have enjoyed my stay though. Very clean hotel, comfy bedding.
