I decided to use Hotwire (linked from this site) for this reservation because it allowed my teenager to be with us for an overnight before an early flight to Rome. As far as I could tell, I needed 2 rooms to be sure that this would work on Priceline and I did not want any chance of starting our vacation with a problem.

I saw better rates, but noting recently so decided to take the sure thing and move on with the rest of the trip.
