supertongue Posted May 29, 2011 Report Posted May 29, 2011 Hey again!I recently booked a hotel through Hotwire (via a HOTWIRE link from this board) that stated the check-in age was 18, which I believe it should be. Now I was just randomly looking at hotels for the D.C. area and noticed that the four-star hotels only required 18+, not 21+ as I had seen in other cities.I would just like to make sure that this is in fact true (I'm looking at the bottom of the hotel details pages) as I don't want to put down a handful of money, drive close to 5 hours, then find out I don't have a hotel for the weekend. Thanks again for the help and I look forward to booking my next hotel through BetterBidding!
thereuare Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 The information shown at the bottom of the details page (which shows the age information) is specific to the hotel being offered... not for all hotels of that star rating within a given city. You'll need to ensure that the hotel you decide to purchase shows the minimum age as 18+ before you book. Note that the 18/21 year old difference is often due to whether rooms have a mini-bar which contains beer, wine or liquor... if so, the hotel takes on a liability should somebody underage consume an alcoholic beverage.Let us know if you find any offers of interest and if we can be of further help. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
