Hotwire Hotel: Tampa Downtown 6/26/11

Hi,

Looking for some assistance identifying a couple of hotels popping up in the Tampa Downtown area on this date. Looking to stay one night and hopefully take a hotel shuttle to the Tampa Cruise Port Terminal the following day. Any guidance or suggestion would be appreciated.

3.5* Bed Choice, No smoking, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center and Internet

2.5* Shuttle, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Laundry, Internet

For the 3.5* property, the Sheraton Riverwalk has previously been seen with this amenity set but at the 4* level, my guess is that it has been downgraded since last reported to the board.

The 2* has not yet been reported and i don't have any guess/insight for this one.

Thanks for the information, we're still in the process of planning this trip and hope to finalize plans today. As of yet, we're still considering our options below. I did just do another search through the BB HOTWIRE link and another couple options surfaced. Might you advise on these?

4* - No smoking, fitness, swimming pool, restaurant, business and internet - $67

3* - Complimentary breakfast, fitness, swimming and internet - $70

The 4* is a possible match for the Sheraton or Westin, while the amenity set showing with the 3* has been previously seen with the Hampton Inn Ybor City.

Thanks for all of your help and information.

We decided to go with another option for Pre-Cruise and After Cruise. We went with the Hyatt Place Westshore that has a Snooze & Cruise special for $109. This option provided shuttle before and after the cruise. We opted to stay another night at this hotel after the cruise.

Lesson learned as far a flying into Tampa. We should have chose Tampa International, rather than flying into St Pete. The cab/shuttle ride alone from St Pete probably negates any savings on our flights.
