I've been using Hotwire for a while and just stumbled on this forum. SEems like a great idea to a have a place to discuss these properties. I will definitely book through the links provided!

As per title, Check-in 20 July and checkout 23 Jul. 4-star with 1 room, 2 adults. Amenities are :

Boutique, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center & High Speed Internet

Price is $222 per night. Judging from your list, I see that the Back Bay Boston is the only Boutique property in the area, am I right to assume that is the property?

One concern I always have is bed selection, I really do not want a single double bed or 2 queens/whatever. What are the probabilities that I get anything other than a single Kind or Queen? Can this be negotiated at the desk?

If you do your HOTWIRE search again, is there also a Smoke Free icon associated with this property?

As far as the beds go, i assume you're hoping for two separate beds (so 1King or 1Queen is not preferred... but 2doubles, 2queens, etc is what you want? what about one bed and a pullout sofabed... would that work for your needs?)

Yes, you are correct, there is a smoke-free icon that I missed. My apologies.

I am actually wanting a single king, that is my ideal configuration. The wife and I don't want to sleep in a double, lol...

The property above matches previous reports for the Back Bay Hotel so that would be my best guess for this one.

Unfortunately there is no way to ensure a specific bed type or room configuration unless you're able to find a HOTWIRE offer which shows the 'bed type' option, which gives you the ability to choose an offered bed type/room configuration for an additional fee.

Thanks for your help - unfortunately I decided to book another zone and went with a 4* Waterfront - Convention Area Hotel. Ended up being the Westin Boston WaterFront - excellent property. This was almost 2 years ago so I forget what the amenities were - sorry that I forgot to come back and update :S.
