Hotwire Hotel: 4* Las Vegas (Near Strip East) Hard Rock

Tried Priceline for days, no luck due to Memorial Day (Went to $140 for 4*, $195 for 5*)

Needed a room, ended up with Hard Rock for $117/night:

Casino

Fitness Center

Pool

Restaurant

Spa Services

I was convinced it would be the Westin, but for last minute on a busy weekend, very happy with the results, especially having no luck with a Saturday check in on PL for a Holiday weekend. HRH website is $728 for these nights for a basic room! Any tips on how to get a better room, will the $20 trick at check in work at HRH?

Excellent deal and glad you're pleased with the result. I'd call and ask regarding availability - they may say no, or you may be able to negotiate an upgrade. If not, then you can try again at check-in.

Call the hotel directly. HOTWIRE reservations are not eligible for upgrades, so while it is worth a try, the hotel can say no. If they say no over the phone, I'd try again at check-in.
