summerland76 Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 After using your PRICELINE links to bid for a few weeks, I finally got a win! I had a $5 boost from a priceline reward so I bid $135 plus $5 a night for $140 bidding Opera East, Opera West, Champs Elysees, and Montmartre. Happy with the location but the hotel looks a little dingy. Not planning on spending a lot of time in the room so it's fine! It's also a weekend so I'm pretty happy with the rate. The website rate was 218 Euros so that's a significant savings. Dates: June 17th-19th. Sorry-couldn't change the title.

summerland76 Posted September 19, 2016 Author Report Posted September 19, 2016 This hotel was terrible. It was a two star at best. They supposedly had a 'water feature"...it was seriously a bucket with a hose in the "cafe" which was three tables and chairs. There was an elevator but you couldn't fit in it with your luggage and we were traveling light. Location was fine but not great. If I had it to do again, I'd book something with a higher star rating or maybe not do it blind.
thereuare Posted September 19, 2016 Report Posted September 19, 2016 Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay (and apparently you remember it well since this trip was 5+ years ago!) Star ratings in Europe are a bit more generous than their US counterparts, so it's recommended to stick with the higher star ratings when traveling in Europe (and many other locations outside of North America) Thanks for the follow-up... hopefully you're future trips (or those since this one) are more to your liking.
