dahammer
Greetings! What is your maximum bid for this stay? We would not want to suggest a bidding strategy that is greater than your budget. Although the Marriott may be the only 3.5* currently listed, there could always be others, would you be willing to accept another 3.5* if it were to appear? You really can't bid for a specific hotel. Jane361
Thank you for your quick response. Yes, I know that you cannot bid for a specific hotel and any 3.5* would be acceptable. I am willing to bid up to $150. Link to comment
thereuare
Not sure your needs for this stay, but if you intend to spend anytime in Manhattan, i would sooner consider staying there and then simply taking a cab on 8/30 to the aiprort (even if you have an early flight) as i don't think staying in the LGA zone will cost you much less than a hotel in Manhattan. If your plans dictate that you start in the LGA zone, at the 3.5* level you have FIVE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)Select 3.5* LGA...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $90, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3.5* LGA and re-bid zone4...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $110, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3.5* LGA and re-bid zone5...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3.5* LGA and re-bid zone4 and re-bid zone5...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $150Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. thereuare
As per the message at the top of the Priceline Hotel List, DO NOT use the hotel lists to determine your re-bid zones, use the method detailed here: Priceline Re-Bidding ExplainedIf you read the link above and are confused just post back and we'll break it down further for you. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Jane361
I was not aware of what "Support/Travel Links" actually provided before you pointed it out! I'll definitely use it in the future. Thanks for having such a great forum. Link to comment
