Does anyone know if hotwire rooms would be guaranteed to have private bath?

I booked a room through HOTWIRE and the hotel did not have a private bath, so HOTWIRE cancelled the reservation, refunded me my purchase price, but since it was after 6:00 PM (the old deadline) they could not book me in another accomodation, so I was left high and dry.

I would call Hotwire to confirm, I could not see this on the HW website.

I don't know of any HOTWIRE hotel that has been won which did not have a private bath, and while not explicitly stated on HOTWIRE's website, they do have a 'shared bath' amenity icon, although i've never seen it used with an opaque offering.

Given that you have time before your stay you could email HOTWIRE and this way you'll have written proof should you have any problems in the future.
