kenchau Posted May 19, 2011 Report Share Posted May 19, 2011 I used the PRICELINE link to bid for a 2* hotel in New Buffalo and wanted the Fairfield Inn, which has a regular price for that time of $99/night.I saw the historical 1-2 year old ones go for $33. Had a brain freeze and went in with $40 as the starting bid, when I probably should have started lower at $30. Kind of beating myself up for that (I feel like I overpaid...:)).Oh well, $40 is $59 less than the street price. I guess I'll live. :) Link to comment

The lobby of this Fairfield Inn is one of my favorites. The decor just is unexpected in a mid price property of this sort. If I recall correctly, they had a really nice breakfast included too!
