First time bidder. I've been aiming $130 per night 3*-4* in NYC, for my parents are coming to visit. Could anyone give me any suggestions or advice? Many thanks!

i've tried 110, 120, 130 in MTE, MTW, Downtown-Soho, and MTS. No luck at all. I'm aiming nothin more than 130, and would prefer MTW 3* or Upper West side with a 4*.

Thank yoU!!!!!!

Based upon current prices I don't think you're budget is high enough for a 3* or 4* in your preferred zones.

HOTWIRE has a 3* in MTE for $120/nite (very possible the Radisson on Lexington) and you could get another $10 off per nite if you're a new customer by using the code GIFTCARD06.

QUIKBOOK has both the Park Central (good for you locationwise) and the Eastgate Tower (a great hotel but on the east side) for $159... a bit more than you want to spend, but perhaps given the circumstances (higher prices elsewhere and the Park Central's location) it would be worthwhile to consider.

Other that the above i think you'll need to increase your budget or lower your star quality... but i wouldn't be going much lower than 3* on an opaque purchase.

Let us know what you decide to do and/or if we can be of additional help.

thanks a whole bunch! i just got hilton new york for 150 per night. my friend tried all the way up to 190 last week and it didn't work. i tried just now for 150, and it worked instantly. i saw other posts about people getting hilton new york for 130-150. i think if it's during weekdays, this is a good price range to try.

good luck everybody! yay i'm so happy now.
