Viesia Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 I have never bid on Priceline or Hotwire. Many of my friends did and they were happy. I am cluless when comes to it. However, I have a question. Can I choose hotel on Priceline that will have free continental breakast when I do "name your price" or not. I can't find this info. Thanks.
Viesia Posted May 10, 2011 Author Report Posted May 10, 2011 I am booking hotel through Priceline and I have two option (the price is the same). I can pay right away or pay when you stay. I want to make sure that my booking will be honored when we arrive. We will be coming back late at night so what would be the best to do. Thanks.
yellowdog Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding :) I have never bid on Priceline or Hotwire. Many of my friends did and they were happy. I am cluless when comes to it.Please read this link to start with: I've never used Priceline or HotwireCan I choose hotel on Priceline that will have free continental breakast when I do "name your price" or not. I can't find this info. No, the NYOP section don't have this option.I can pay right away or pay when you stay. This is really up to you. But i would pre-pay the room for a smoother and faster check in if arriving late at night. You need to guarantee your room when booking it so i don't belive you would have any problem with the reservation. But everything can happen, pre-paid or not.Let us know how we can help you further.Yellowdog.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
thereuare Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 Instead of booking direct and assuring a complimentary breakfast, why not try bidding for a room at less then the cost of a retail room less breakfast. For instance, if a 'retail' room with breakfast is $100, and you think to purchase breakfast at another hotel is $20, then you could bid on a hotel for less than $80 and still come out ahead.Another option is to use HOTWIRE and purchase a hotel which shows the Complimentary Breakfast icon. What are the dates and location of your trip? What is the rate at the hotel you're considering booking direct? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.NOTE: please click this PRICELINE link before replying, and once you do reply, we'll move this thread to the correct state section of the board Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Viesia Posted May 18, 2011 Author Report Posted May 18, 2011 I want to get a hotel in Seattle Aiport area. We are coming from holiday and we will be arriving on July 29 at 11:20 pm.I would like to have breakfast inlcuded but the airport shuttle is a must.It will be 2 adults and a child who is 6 years old. Can you help me please. I went on Hotwire but I could only find hotels and areas not specific hotels. I am ok with budget hotels. We will be there only sleep 8-10 hours. thanks so much.
thereuare Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 I went on Hotwire but I could only find hotels and areas not specific hotels. This is how the opaque suppliers work, which is what makes them opaque :) Did you read the I've Never Used Priceline or Hotwire thread previously linked above?I would like to have breakfast inlcuded but the airport shuttle is a must.Even if you HOTWIRE and the hotel shows a Shuttle icon, there is no guarantee that it will run 24/7 (and your flight gets in somewhat late) so you would need to first see if you can reasonably identify the hotel and then check the hours of the shuttle. Is this a risk/chance you're willing to accept? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
