PrincessLeah_L Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 I started bidding low for 3-3.5* hotels in the Perimeter and Galleria areas. Started at $47 and increased by $2 increments for several days. Finally got a win with $59 on 3.5*....I didn't think it would actually be accepted after the luck I had been having. I was getting frustrated seeing all of the low bid wins, but I think since our trip is in the middle of the summer, that might have something to do with the higher pricing. : / Was actually hoping to win a 3* hotel (Hilton Garden Inn, since we love them!) but overall, I'm excited about it. Hopefully we'll have a great experience to write about!

PrincessLeah_L Posted July 8, 2011 Author Report Posted July 8, 2011 This was NOT a good experience for us. This hotel is not a 3.5* hotel and I do not plan on staying there again. The A/C barely blew at all, and there was no air flow even though the air was set at 60 the entire time. We ended up having a fan brought up to us for sleeping and showers. There was mold and mildew in the shower. The entire fifth floor smelled musty and stale. The lobby was the only place that smelled good. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I would certainly not rate it as a 3.5* hotel. We stayed in a Crowne Plaza years ago for our wedding night and that was an entirely different experience than the one in Atlanta. I would say this hotel needs a 2.5/3* rating.

mak136 Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 Will you be adding this to the list of hotels on the Priceline list? There seems to be a Crowne Plaza listed at 4* and noted previously as a 3.5 *. I'd hate to win this based on the reviewer's experience.
