akathekid Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 Looking for a hotel in Boston May 20-23 and literally can't find anything decent for less than $300 a night? Anyone know why it is so expensive in Boston for this weekend? Rates are cheaper on Memorial Day for some reason. It is a holiday in Canada the 20-23rd so we are going away and thought rates would be reasonable in Boston.

akathekid Posted May 18, 2011 Author Report Posted May 18, 2011 Ahhh ok...was wondering why it was so expensive. No we aren't commited, we just thought it would be a nice drive from Toronto to Boston and a good visit. Unfortunately, everywhere in the US is extremely expensive this weekend for some reason so we are probably going to stay in the toronto area.

loveboston Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Check out lastminutetravel.com They have the Boston Weston for $156 a night. This is an opaque hotel site where it doesn't list the hotel name, but if you check out the 4* hotel in the Quincy Financial district you will notice that the photos match ones shown on the Boston Westin site. I had trouble booking a one week vacation in July through PRICELINE and had luck through this site. PRICELINE is awesome, but lastminutetravel.com is a good back up site when you have a longer vacation or tough dates to fill like you do. I'd check it out.
akathekid Posted July 26, 2011 Author Report Posted July 26, 2011 We decided against going to boston for the weekend but appreciate the help!
