yelloboy
Hi All,Any suggestions on the Waikoloa Marriott (Big Island) for the July/August timeframe? It generally shows up as the only 4* on the PL lists - what is a good threshold for bidding that would ensure (or come close to it) that I do not end up 'upgraded' to the Resort Hilton Waikoloa? If the Hilton Resort typically goes for $138, is it thus somewhat assured that I will not have a 4* bid upgraded if I am significantly below $138? And if so, is the Marriott generally far enough below $138 to allow people to get it failr often without being bumped to the Hilton?Sorry if this is confusing. I'm a bit confused myself. hah! Thanks for the help in advance! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! There will never be any guarantees that you won't get bumped to the next quality level, somebody has to be the first to report a 'new low' accepted bid in a zone... it could be you. We could try to minimize this 'risk' by not bidding haphazardly, but to begin to formulate and research a strategy to do so will require you to firm up your plans and know the actual dates of your stay. LoneStar
If you bid under $125 there is virtually no chance that you'd get upgraded to the Waikoloa Hilton. That said, if you did, what's the tragedy? The Hilton is a nicer hotel! Link to comment
