Hotwire Hotel: Vegas Strip Question

I'll be in Vegas next week and need a room by the Mandarin Oriental. My co-worker is staying in NYNY. She said I could stay with her, but then her best friend wasn't happy I was tagging along so I'm feeling the need to get my own room so I don't mess up their friend time. I don't care if I stay there or not (but might be good to be convenient to Mandarin Oriental) but wondering what is the best deal considering all these resort fees and such. I won't have a car and will be staying from 5/16-19. The best place for the best deal is preferred but I'm really confused about this whole Hotwire/Priceline thing, plus I don't know where it'd be most convenient for the conference?? Is it a long walk? Closer is really preferred as I screwed up my knee last year. Preferably somewhere with a nice pool but price is really much more important as this trip is more than I really can afford as it is. I wouldn't be opposed to NYNY and get a kickass room using the tip trick... would love that! lol ;-) That'll be my BIG gamble while I'm there!!!

ANY help or advice is much appreciated. Thank you so much for your guidance. :)

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Is ~$100/nite in your budget? HOTWIRE has what i'm guessing to be either the Vdara or the Aria for $105/nite (plus resort fee of ~$25/nite) and that would be you right by the Mandarin Oriental. If you see this map you can see the Mandarin Oriental just to the left of the marker... then just slightly North and West of that see the Aria and Vdara. Would this work for your plans and/or budget?

I'd love to stay there but have a hard time justifying it for just myself although that is an awesome location and those rooms are incredible. How do I know which hotel these are when making the reservations? What about the Monte Carlos or NYNY? How much is the resort fee for these? How would I know which hotels these are? Thank you so much for your help!!!

What is your budget (per nite before taxes, fees, resort fees) for this trip?

Well my budget is as low as possible since i wasn't planning on getting a room at all, but I do need to be within about 15 min. walking distance of the Mandarin Oriental. My budget is sorta out the window at this point unfortunately. ;-) So whichever place is priced best near this hotel is where I probably should be. When i was making reservations for my flight, I could have got NYNY for somewhere in the $60 range which would be nice at this point.

Thank you for your help. I really do appreciate it.

How about:

Excalibur: $32/nite (not the first room offered, you'll need to scroll down a little to see this rate listed, some upgraded rooms for a bit more)

NYNY: $75/nite

Monte Carlo: $70/nite

Do any of these work for your needs? If so, please use the links above for your purchase.
