dall Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 First post here....I'm seeing under Hotwire 3* Ft Lauderdale hotel, airport area for $67.00 It only shows 2 amenities - access to exercise equipment and high speed internet (says additional charge may apply for both of those). Any ideas what hotel it is? Date of stay Jan 26-28 2012.
AaronJB Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Unfortunately, I'm not seeing this property when searching. Are you still seeing it - if so, how many people are you searching for?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
yellowdog Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 dallI'm sorry to say that a 3* property with this amenitie combo has not yet been reported/ID'd to the board. And with only two very common amenites would it be hard to gain any form of educated guess for this property. Is there any other hotel you would like help with? YellowdogPlease use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.PS. Please remember follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancell your trip, etc.

dall Posted April 17, 2011 Author Report Posted April 17, 2011 Thanks, I'll certainly post any questions or success.Okay, this is really bugging me. I have searched high and low (not that I am a computer whiz) to try and figure out this hotel. I have never booked thru Hotwire before and am reluctant, but so tempted to book it. I guess it worries me that it is only showing 2 amenities. But gee, a 3 star.......should have more than that. Do you think they are just not showing them all?
yellowdog Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 dallI have tried to alternate your search to get a diffrent result but without any luck. And i would say that it's impossible to ID this property with the current HOTWIRE information. But gee, a 3 star.......should have more than that. Do you think they are just not showing them all?I'm pretty sure this is the case. It's not unusual that hotels do this. This is why it's called opaque :)Please use the site's HOTWIRE link, and let us know how it goes or if you need any additional help with your stay.Yellowdog.PS. Please remember follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancell your trip, etc.
dall Posted April 17, 2011 Author Report Posted April 17, 2011 Hm, I think maybe I have been overthinking this. I was "thinking" that this hotel is not one of the ones listed under Hotwire, that it was one they have recently added (only because of the 2 amenities being shown). Will make a decision soon.
AaronJB Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 HOTWIRE listings do not show all the amenities that the hotel offers (the hotel may have a pool, but not show it as an amenity), and may show tons of amenities or, in some cases, a listing may be completely opaque and show no amenities.Thank you for keeping us updated on what you decide and for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
kitoko Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 I would reccommend choosing the airport hotel that shows a bus. It is the La Quinta ft. Lauderdale airport property. If you are going on a cruise, they provide transportation from the airport and to the port. I am not sure why, but for the dates we picked, it is $82 on hotwire, but only $71 at the LQ site with either an AARP or Anniversary (TR123) code.
