ewismer Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Started bidding at $45 for three star in Encinitas area, added Escondido area and upped price to $50, then upped to $55 and added Del Mar area.
thereuare Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Thank you for sharing your winning bid with the board. When adding a 'live' zone (such as Del Mar in this instance) as you did, it's usually advisable to start your bidding over again, only selecting the 'live' zone... then gradually adding the zones. Bidding in this fashion gives you the chance to get this hotel at an even cheaper rate.Still a pretty good deal relative to traditional booking methods, but feel free to ask for help before your next trip and we'll try to help.Enjoy your stay. ewismer Posted May 13, 2005 Author Report Posted May 13, 2005 I don't understand how to start bidding over. Do you mean after 72 hours? I thought once I had selected a zone I had to keep it when adding other zones. Do you mean I should bid the original lower price when I add a zone? I didn't want to use up all my bids and not have a room as I was leaving in two days. I read other tips on how to not add the last zone and then start over, but I did not understand how to do it. Thanks for any response and help.
thereuare Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 Select ZoneA, bid and fail.Close browser, re-access priceline however you did previously (<-- doing this it's as if you're starting from the beginning)Select ZoneB (or whatever other zones... nothing will be pre-selected)etcetcHope that explains it a bit more... ask for help before bidding for your next stay and we'll walk you thru it.
