Hotwire Hotel: 3.5* Atlantic City (Downtown) Showboat

Hello,

I need help identifying a 3.5* Downtown Atlantic City. Travel dates are 6/23-6/27. $198 a night, recommended in 80% of reviews.

Casino, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, internet

From the list it looks like it could be Bally's, but I don't know if there are any other options.

I waited too long and now it's gone anyway. I assume it was Bally's.

This property is currently showing and my guess would be Ballys too.

HOWEVER, i'll point out that the TA rating showing for this offer (2.5/5.0) is different from the current TA rating at Tripadvisor (3.0/5.0). This information is not updated by HOTWIRE in real time, only about once per month, so it may have changed since HOTWIRE's last update and that would account for the discrepancy. So while Bally's would still be my best guess, it does cast a shadow of doubt over this ID.

My only question, which is more of an opinion I guess, is does anybody think this is a good deal? Right now I have Tropicana reserved for an average of $243 a night...

Reviews for Tropicana are generally better then those for Ballys, but Ballys gives you a much more centralized location, imo. $200+ for any hotel rooms in Atlantic City is a lot of money... but it's summertime (not sure if any special events are taking place too) and this is when the hotels make their money.

I have to book one of these, just procrastinating because the prices are so inflated. I didn't find anything that seemed to match on the hotels list, just thought I would see if anyone has any ideas.

This 3* property has not yet been reported to the board. In a previous thread another used had guessed that it could be Resorts, but i'm not certain.

Booked the one for 198- turned out to be the showboat.

Edit: Apparently this is a different "3.5 star" for 198 a night. They are still gathering reviews for the property.

Edit: I think the other hotel was Bally's, but this popped up with the same stars and price and I wasn't paying attention. I'm sure it will be fine.
