meatwad Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Thanks to this forum, I took my wife and two kids to San Fran for Saturday night. Scored a room at the Le Meridien in Financial for $120. Super cool hotel. Super easy walk to Ferry, Chinatown, Nob hill....The staff couldn't accommodate two beds b/c of capacity, but said they'd roll up a cot. Well the cot didn't safely meet fire code guidelines in our room, a Superior King w/ Partial Bay views ($269/nt). So they upgraded us (no cost) to a Studio Suite (King - $289/nt). It was a killer room, with great Bay Bridge and Bay views. Such a solid experience. A $289 dollar room, $334 with Tax, for $120! Now if only I could figure out how to save on parking... oh well, this more than makes up for the cost of parking. Cheers! Meatwad
thereuare Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your success!Glad to see this worked out so well for you and that the hotel was willing to upgrade your accommodations. Do note for the future that PRICELINE reservations only guarantee double occupancy, so it's a risk when you'll be more then two, as the hotel may not have accommodations for quad occupancy and/or may charge an additional fee. When quad occupancy is a must you may want to consider HOTWIRE which allows you to search for up to quad occupancy, but this can frequently also increase the price as well. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
