Had been pounding away for over a week on PRICELINE (using BB's link) to find a 4* in Notting Hill and surrounding areas (incl Regents Park, Bloomsbury, Mayfair) with nothing up to $200. Must be something going on that week as typically it appears a 4* can be had for much cheaper at other times. Saw this 4.5* on Hotwire for $220 and booked it. Worked out to less than the $190 bid on priceline due to much lower taxes/fees (not sure why that is). Had not seen this hotel listed in any of the HW or PL lists. Looks OK, though, as it is only 3 tube stops from where i need to be.

As far as I know, the Chelsea Flower Show is on. This may be the cause of high prices... I know I couldn't get a good deal in the kensington area for those dates.
