first_class Posted May 7, 2011 Report Posted May 7, 2011 Love the forum, it's very useful. One point I wanted to raise are the fees and taxes.I recently had a bid accepted for a 5* Hotel in Mayfair/Park Lane London (Intercontinental).I bid $200 (priceline) but the actual price charged included another $50+ added which were 'fees and taxes'.Still cheaper than the original price, but more than I had originally intended to spend.1. Are the fees and taxes set for each booking? or does it depend on each city?2. Is there a way to estimate the total fees and taxes before the bid is placed?3. Is there any difference between Hotwire's fees and Priceline's fees?
