The rates for 9/15-9/19 were too high for my liking, so I gave up - booked with a cheap hotel instead.

But I wanted to share my bidding history anyway:

The following bids were all rejected:

UPDATE: weekend stay is cheaper than weekday stay:

I was originally bidding for a Thursday check-in, Monday check-out (9/15/2011 to 9/19/2011).

This week I tried again, and the following bids were rejected:

4* downtown $75

4* downtown & Northwest $82

4* downtown & Northwest $ South $85

4* downtown & Airdrie $91

3.5* downtown $67

3.5* downtown $ Northwest $75

Then I changed my dates to 9/16/2011 to 9/19/2011 (to remove the Thursday night stay). This led to a SUCCESSFUL first-time bid:

4* downtown $81 - accepted - Westin Calgary

I'm very happy with that result!

For the Thursday, I bid:

3.5* downtown $75 - rejected

3.5* downtown & Calgary South $77 - rejected

3* Calgary South $70 - rejected but offered rebidding at $82

3* downtown & Calgary South $77 - accepted - Blackfoot Inn
