dzzz Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 Hi. Any suggestions/strategy for something on Manhattan for 2 nights? Anywhere probably except UES & UWS. Everything seems really expensive. I'd like to spend <$450 total after taxes. possible? thanks!Darren

dzzz Posted May 9, 2011 Author Report Posted May 9, 2011 Well partial success. :) I couldn't find anything in my budget ($200) when bidding on both dates together. I had tried 3* @$200 in all areas in manhattan except UWS and UES with no luck.So I tried separating the dates and got the 4* Marriott New York Downtown for $200 on 5/16. This is listed in the hotel list as 3.5* Marriott Financial Center. Is there a newer list somewhere? Anyway, it looks pretty nice and is close to transportation.Second night is still up in the air. I'm loving this board and all the information!

dzzz Posted May 11, 2011 Author Report Posted May 11, 2011 Oh glad to hear that list is up to date. I looked at the post date and it said 2003! :) so I wasn't sure how often it got updated. It might be nice to have the last update date at the top or something so people know. Also, the name of the hotel has changed so you might also want to change it to Marriott New York Downtown to avoid confusion for other newcomers. Thanks again! Great work keeping the site going!
