Spanky Deluxe Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 After failing loads trying to get my other NYC hotel booked (16th-20th) and having just got my Toronto stay slot sorted out I decided to give my second NYC slot a go but instead of going for the full four days, going for three days so as to use the 'extend your stay' feature. I was very surprised to see that my bid was accepted at $165 (when I'd bid up to $175 in my other slot earlier in the month which I thought would be cheaper since it's less 'Summer' season). Immediately requested to extend my stay by one day and it was accepted.I think I'll try a similar tactic with my other stay in NYC and my time in Washington too. It seems that 4 days might be pushing it a bit for priceline bids.
