1Venus Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 This was tough because I didn't see any prior bids or even a listing for the Ontario, OR, area. I checked Hotwire and saw a 3* for $86 and a 2* for $41 (only 5% of Hotwire reviewers recommended this one, so I decided to be afraid of bidding for a 2*)I had pretty much decided that I'd just stay in Meridian, ID, since I had a successful bid for one night for a week prior. But first Ijust did a random bid of $50. There are no free rebids here, other than changing the star quality, and I expected to get nothing. However, I got the Clarion. Clarion Inn1249 Tapadera AvenueOntario, OR 97914$50 bid $12.80 taxes and fees$62.80 totalIt gets favorable ratings on tripadvisor and shows as #3 in the area, however, I'm not sold. For some reason I thoughtthat Clarion was normally ranked as 2 or 2.5*, not 3. $50 isn't a terrible price for a place to sleep for one night, but I thinkI probably should have bid lower, especially since I have plenty of time. Oh well... time to make the best of it.
