Chris PC Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 I need a pre-flight hotel near the London Heathrow Airport for the night of 7/23/11. Listed at $77 plus tax. The Hotwire info is as follows:Amenities:- Fitness Center- Restaurant- Business Center- High-Speed Internet Access- Golf NearbyThe hotel is recommended in 95% of customer reviews with 200+ reviews (average satisfaction rating is 4.5/5 for all five items). Any ideas? I'm trying to avoid the Sheraton Heathrow due to negative reviews. Thank you for your help!
thereuare Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 A property with this exact amenity set has not yet been reported to the board, but if you change your search to 2adults/2childre a new 4* hotel appears in this zone for the same price (your search may differ by a few dollars) with:Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Internet, Business, Golf (i think a good chance this is a different property then the one you're seeing without a Pool icon when only searching for 2adults)This is a match for the Crowne Plaza so that would be my best guess for this one. More importantly, this offer shows a Pool icon, and (as far as i know) the Sheraton Heathrow doesn't have a pool, so you can be assured that this isn't the property you're hoping for avoid.Does this work for your plans? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Chris PC Posted May 3, 2011 Author Report Posted May 3, 2011 Thanks so much for your quick reply and input. I would be perfectly happy with this Crowne Plaza, although I realized that I can get it for
AaronJB Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 Please use the Crowne Plaza link in the site's Support/Travel section if you do book directly. Thanks! :)
Chris PC Posted May 4, 2011 Author Report Posted May 4, 2011 Since my stay was over a weekend, there wasn't much advantage to using Priceline or Hotwire. I ended up booking a retail rate via Hotels.com using this site's special link in the Support/Travel section. Booked the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow for the night of July 23, 2011. Got the advanced-purchase rate of $82/night.
