Greetings,

I am attending a conference in the National Harbor, MD area from June 2, 2011 - June 5, 2011. The conference rate is $169/night and the regular reservation rate on Priceline is $199/night. I've been bidding almost everyday for the past two weeks without success. My bids have been between $72 - $102.

First I select 3*, National Harbor/Oxon Hill and enter my bid. When that was rejected, I'd select the Mt. Vernon area and up my price $2-$3. Still no score. What I don't like it that Priceline automatically checks 3 1/2* and 4* hotels on the re-bid when I only checked 3*. Why do they do that?

I haven't scored yet but I'm still hopeful. I know the hotel is pretty full that weekend because of the conference but please help me win 2 rooms!

Thanks in advance.

The star rating you select is the minimum that you're willing to accept... when you choose the 3* level PRICELINE is also checking for 3.5* and 4* hotels in the zone(s) you select, which is why they're automatically checked when you try to re-bid.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your bidding.

Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.
