Does anyone know if the Fountainbleu Hilton Hotel still participates in priceline. I noticed that the only Resorts in the miami beach area that is accepting now is the Sheraton Bel Harbour. Is there any reason why the Sheraton is accepting much more then the Hilton, if the Hilton is still accepting at all.

As far as i know the Fountain Bleu still does participate, but their participation has often been 'spotty', and the Sheraton Bel Harbour has always offered more availability.

Each hotel probably has a different viewpoint/tolerance for Priceline. The Sheraton may be seeeking 100% occupancy at any cost, and therefore will make availability to Priceline whenever they anticipate less than 90% occupancy (which is frequently). The Hilton on the otherhand may prefer to have fewer guests (with most of them paying higher, 'traditional' rates) than give their rooms away at rock bottom prices... and therefore don't give rooms to Priceline unless their occupancy is below 50% (which would be infrequently).

(the above numbers are made up for purposes of example)
