Priceline Hotel: Help Please - 5/13 - 5/17 - $130 3.5 star

HI everyone,

This is my first post.

I've been trying to find a hotel via your PRICELINE link for several days.

What I really wanted was 3.5 SOHO - Downtown 5/13-5/17 for under $100 before taxes. But that's not working.

Am i being unrealistic to think I'll find anything for under $130?

What bidding strategy do you suggest?

I usually start with soho and add all the rebid cities. I've gone as high as $130 and no luck. Should i split the bid (big hassle)?

Based upon current rates your budget doesn't seem realistic for these dates... what is the best deal you're able to find thru conventional booking channels? Is Downtown the only zone you're willing to accept?

I will research deals on conventional bookings. I'm open to location in NYC as long as its safe and close to the subways.

Based upon current rates I don't think $130 is realistic for anything at the 3.5* (and probably not 3*) or above... are you able to find anything acceptable close to this price point?
