Priceline Hotel: Downtown Asheville Question

Hello. I have never been to Asheville. I am looking for a hotel in central, downtown Asheville. It looks to me like the region that applies is downtown/Biltmore. But that seems to me a fairly large region, which is not limited to hotels in downtown/central Asheville. I see some success stories labeled "central" -- such as the Indigo hotel -- but no region labeled central. Can someone tell me whether I can bid in a way that assures me a hotel in central/downtown Asheville, or give me some advice? Thank you.

Thanks. I clicked on both links. May 1-3. 3* or better. Most important: I want to be in downtown Asheville, in a location where I can walk to restaurants, the center of town, etc. Regarding budget -- whatever I have to pay to get something that fits the foregoing requirements.

Unfortunately, Priceline has lumped Downtown and Biltmore Estates together as one region. That's a large area and includes hotels that are not downtown. There is no way to guarantee that you will wind up in the downtown area with Priceline. It's a short drive to the downtown if you have a car. We were in Asheville recently and stayed in the Biltmore Estate area at the Doubletree. We went downtown one day and chose to take public transit. If you know the bus schedule, then this isn't too bad of a way to get downtown.

For what its worth, Asheville just isn't that large. Staying in the Biltmore area is hardly a big loss if you want to hang out downtown. Granted, you won't be able to walk there from your hotel, but its not like you're in Atlanta and its going to be a 1 hour drive!
