I have a few questions....Im planning a trip to Key west & im having some trouble.....I have 2 questions...

Ive been bidding on 3.5,4, & resorts....All the asking prices vary from $234-300+...ive bid all the way up to $210 this week & nothing will except....Does that sound normal?...Im usualy landing %50 right off the bat..

Question 2....Since that has failed, im considering bidding 3 star...Problem being, key west is soo small its not broken up into individual areas...You have to bid on all of key west & theres 4 (3star) hotel, 2 of wich being way too far from the action.......Two hotels close to Duval St. (where i want to be) are asking $252 & $365.... The other two are very far & are asking $179 & 199......

My question is, obviously if i bid i'll end up at one of the two cheaper ones wich i dont want.....Now if i bid above their asking price, could I somehow avoid being put into those 2 hotels????

For Example, bid $200+ to avoid the $179-199 hotels?

Please help, Im running out of time & need to book a room ASAP....

IDK if that is a common thing, I dont want to bid $205 & be put into the $179-199 room, Id want to be in the $252-$365 rooms....Get it?

Thanks!!! :)

Welcome to Betterbidding.

Rates and discounts vary significantly from day-to-day and from place-to-place; some areas (such as Key West) often do not see as aggressive discounts, especially during busier periods.

If you try to overbid for a particular property, there is a definite risk of overpaying for a property you could have paid less for. I would definitely not recommend trying to bid more than what some properties are showing regular rate.

What would be your desired budget per night? Additionally, please provide the date/s of travel, desired zones and star rating.

I recently made a mistake & got put in a room in the wrong city, I went through hell but i got it canceled and got refunded this week....

But as I try to bid on another room in my orginial destination nothing accepting my bid....

Im trying to stay in key west 5/4-7....Ive bid on resorts ($285 list price) & 3.5 ( $234 list).....Ive bid all the way up to $215 & still nothing takes....

Whats going ?

Has anyone had this happen?

Or am I somehow banned from bidding in Key West?

PS. I just read that someone just landed a "Resort" in key west for $174 during the same week....ive bid on the same resort in the same city up to $215 & im still hoteless...
