wabash2001 Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 I'm striking out on this one, so any help someone can offer would be great!I'm looking for a 3* or better in Boston, close enough to walk to most attractions. The dates are 7/17--7/19. So far I've bid up to $103 per night in the following zones: Boston Harbor Front - Aquarium Boston Waterfront - Convention Center Cambridge Copley Square - Theatre District Fenway Park Details Quincy Market - Faneuil Hall - Financial I'd really like to stay under $100, and I see lots of winning bids below that amount. Are the dates I'm staying driving up the price? Should I wait until closer to my dates of travel? Thanks!
AaronJB Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 The Summer season tends to be on the busier side and rates are more expensive. However, I don't think you're too far away from a 3* win; HOTWIRE has a 3* in the Boston Common-Theater District area, for example, for $121; there's also a 3* in Quincy for $148 and 3* in Cambridge for $121. Rates vary significantly by date and season - staying under $100 is not going to be realistic for these dates, but I think a 3* will not require too much higher, and I'd proceed higher by $3's.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
wabash2001 Posted October 27, 2011 Author Report Posted October 27, 2011 I ended up convincing my job to pay for it, who booked through a travel agent. Didn't use HOTWIRE or PRICELINE
