jamtime Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 Tried to book a 3* or 3 1/2 * hotel in the Buffalo Amherst or Buffalo Airport Area.Tried from $50 - $73 on Priceline with no luck.Noticed a hotwire "deal" for a 3* hotel at $75.After I booked I got a hotel I've never heard of before. (University Manor Inn)Checked reviews all over the place and found very few. Looks like new management. All reviews were poor :)Checked priceline and this is a 1* :) !!!!!Called hotwire and they told me their pre-scripted message about how they look at other review sites to get a base rating and adjust from other people's reviews.This doesn't make any sense!!! How does a 1* hotel with bad reviews get bumped to 3* ?First time using Hotwire... Last time using Hotwire....BEWARE of this "deal" on hotwire!!!

jamtime Posted April 28, 2011 Author Report Posted April 28, 2011 After a lot of followup on my end I was able to speak with a supervisor.She conceded that this hotel was only added to their site 2 weeks ago and they have no ratings on it.She gave me a full refund.
