hugh_dog Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 I bid several times from about $75 all the way up to$123 over a few days, and was hoping to get this for a bit less, but 65% off of the retail price isn't bad at all. First bid of $123 was accepted. We are visiting Sea World again, and this hotel offers amenities that no other place has.We are staying 6-12 through 6-17. We got two rooms at this price, and I'm calling today to make sure they're near each other.I used the Priceline link above. The total price for both rooms and fees was $1460.90
AaronJB Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)Excellent deal for this Hyatt resort property.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay.
imsocloey Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Hi Hugh,May I ask what your bidding criteria was when bidding? And were you trying to get this particular hotel? My brother has a conference there the week before and I'm trying to figure out if this is a realistic bidding strategy for us.Excellent price -- apparently their conference rate is $289.....Thank you for any information you can share!
