jimmygu3 Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 First of all, thanks for creating and maintaining this board! I am a long-time viewer, first-time poster. HOTWIRE: 4* LBV - Downtown Disney. 2 rooms, 2 nights 5/31-6/02. $88. Customer favorite. Selected amenities include: Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center. Looks like the Swan or Dolphin but doesn't include laundry in the list of amenities. Is there anything else it could be? Also confused about a 2.5* WDW Champions Gate that came up for the same dates at $30. Selected amenities include: Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service). The hotel list suggests it could be La Quinta Lakeside or Holiday Inn Nikki Bird, but the Nikki Bird is a 3* and the La Quinta Lakeside is in Kissimee, not WDW. Could it be that the list is referring to the La Quinta Maingate instead? Thanks.
thereuare Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!I believe the 4* HOTWIRE hotel you're seeing is the Wyndham Palace (and not the Swan or Dolphin). As far as the 2.5*, we just re-zoned the Orlando lists this weekend according to the new hotwire boundaries. If i recall (i have something running on my main computer so i can't check right now) i seem to recall the La Quinta address being in the Kissimmee city limits, but it was within the boundary of Hotwire's Main Gate/Champion's Gate zone. Please take a look at the map of the La Quinta vs. Hotiwre's map and let us know if you're findings are different (or bump this thread later tonite and i'll try to have another look... as i said i'm going from memory)Let us know what you decide to do or if we can be of additional help. If you book either of the above please use this HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
runNgun Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 the 2.5* is the LQ Lakeside, it falls in that zone.
jimmygu3 Posted May 9, 2005 Author Report Posted May 9, 2005 Thanks for the help. Since it's not the Swan or Dolphin, I think I'm better off taking the $99 deal at the WDW Hilton or taking a chance on a PL "Resort" at $75 or $85. Thereuare, maybe you could fix the spelling of Orlando in the topic. I don't think I'm authorized. Thanks.
thereuare Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 I'm not sure of the Hilton deal (i don't it's been mentioned before in this thread), but if it's a direct-deal please note that we are an affiliate of HILTON HOTELS.Keep us updated as to what you decide to do.
