LizaBrug Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Hi everyone,We are looking to stay in a 3,5* or 4* hotel in NYC from sept 12 - sept 15, preferably in the regular tourist zones (TS not included). I am sort of a regular on Priceline these days, so I know the drill, but I have the feeling this period is extremely expensive in NYC. Does it have to do with the month or maybe 9-11?My max is 170, so far, even 3,5* for that amount was rejected. Do you think it is better to wait or to keep trying? Thanks a lot,Liza
AaronJB Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)The Fall (generally later in September to early November, then things get busier with the holidays in November/December) is generally an expensive period in NYC, although the first half of Sept. is sometimes not *quite* as bad. I think you're a little early, and hopefully - if nothing is going on (conventions, etc) for these dates - more inventory (likely still pricey, but not quite as pricey as these dates are at the moment) will come online soon. Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
LizaBrug Posted April 25, 2011 Author Report Posted April 25, 2011 Thanks for the reply! I'll just wait a bit and try again. I'll use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links of course.Liza
