DutchLady Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Hi there,We would like a hotel in NY for July 10th - July 15th.Preferred areas:Central park southChelseaConey IslandEMSHells kitchenMadisonMidtown eastMidtown westQueensboroughTimes squareUpper eastUpper westThat is most of Manhattan as I see the map, except the south part. Chelsea has a relative cheap 4* option: Hilton Fashion for 159 USD/night (website hotel)We would prefer to win this hotel, free rebid zones are: Brooklyn, Long city island and MSG. We would like to stay below 125/night. Could someone help us with this? Some other current prices, according to hotel websites:Doubletree, 3,5*, 10-12 233, 12-14 246, 14-15 233NY Mariott downtown, 3,5*, 299NY Mariott east side, 254ClubQuarters NY midtown, occupiedNovotel NY times square, 3*, 223Hope this is enough information and my English is good enough. I will use the PRICELINE link of this site. Thanks in advance,DutchLady
AaronJB Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)I'd consider focusing on the centrally located Midtown area first - MTW/MTE/CPS/TS/ESB/MSG/Chelsea and then expanding to USW/USE and Hell's Kitchen if need be. Are you really interested in staying in Coney Island or Queensborough? The Hilton Fashion district is formerly the Wyndham 26; it has not yet been reported to the board as a win since becoming a Hilton. For 4* MTW/MTE/CPS/TS/ESB/Chelsea, I think $125 may not be quite enough, but is worth trying and you have the time to start lower. I'd start at $110 and work up by $5's.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
DutchLady Posted May 19, 2011 Author Report Posted May 19, 2011 I tried again today, and I succeeded with 130dollar for the Hudson hotel near central park. The tripadvisor reviews are not too good, but I do not expect a very luxurous hotel. Price was 159/night on the website of the Hudson. Off course I used the PRICELINE link.
AaronJB Posted May 19, 2011 Report Posted May 19, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)Very nice deal for this boutique property, which is very trendy, and love it-or-hate it. Good deal though, and it is in a nice location.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay.
