cramogon Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 Second time bidding on Priceline, and following the tips on here I had success! I bid $105/night for a 4* hotel in Chicago's Millenium Park-Loop-Grant Park for 5/26-28/11 after seeing that average night stays for that weekend in that area are $175-200 per night. My first offer was accepted for Swissotel which made me a little nervous but after comparing to what it would be by booking via Expedia and Hotels.com I'm still saving $110 for a 2 night stay. Thanks BetterBidding!
AaronJB Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 Congrats on your success and Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Very nice deal for this hotel on the river, which has not been reported to the board as a win in a while. Lakeview is an upgrade at this property, but you may want to write and ask for a high floor room, which may provide at least a nice/partial view of the surrounding area.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
cramogon Posted May 26, 2011 Author Report Posted May 26, 2011 Does anyone know of a good nearby deck with affordable overnight parking? I'm assuming its about $50 per night to valet at swissotel
AaronJB Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 There are a lot of local garages across the city that will likely run around $30-35, but the Millennium Park garage nearby is $25, and the Navy Pier garage would not be a horrible walk (also a city garage for $25.)
