Is this the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel?

I will be driving to the area..any tips on cheaper alternatives for parking also appreciated.

Thanks!

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

This would be a possible match for the Sheraton, correct.

Hopefully local posters can provide alternative parking suggestions.

I was surprised to see that this property now charges for parking, but apparently it's been in effect for a little over a year now.

There really isn't too much alternate parking in the area... all the surrounding towns restrict parking for non-residents to just a few hours and most of the garages nearby are going to be about the same rate. There is an office building across the street from this property which has a few restaurants (Ruth Chris and Houlihans), and you may be able to park there on the weekends without too much of a hassle (you'll have to read the signs), but i'd imagine that that parking enforcement of any rules gets quite a bit firmer on week days when the offices are filled with employees who need a place to park.

Please continue this thread for PRICELINE (even if you also begin to look at Manhattan) and once a hotel is eventually won we'll move it, if necessary, to the correct section of the board based upon the service you ultimately used.

I'm trying to get a good idea of what room types folks are getting when they win their bids...

Is everyone typically getting a room with 1 King bed or 2 doubles?

I understand priceline bids have no guarantees but knowing its 1 King only will change the way i'm going to bid.

Thanks!

I can report my success in using Priceline for Hoboken. Also used your link so hopefully you got credit.

Managed to get the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson.

Check-In Date: Friday, June 24, 2011

Check-Out Date: Monday, June 27, 2011

Your Offer Price: $100.00

Number of Rooms: 2

Number of Nights: 3

Subtotal: $600.00

Taxes and Fees: $106.92

Total Charges*: $706.92

Still need to confirm what room type I will be getting. Need to get another room but require at least 2 double beds and not 1 King.

Cheers

Congratulations on your success!

Historically this property has been pretty good about honoring room type requests, based upon availability, but may not be willing to do so until check-in. I'd call the hotel and see if you can get one of the rooms already purchased confirmed for a 2 bedded room... this way if you decide to bid for the additional room it won't matter what type of room is assigned (since you already have one of the rooms from this purchased confirmed for 2 beds). Of course this assumes that the additional room you need is for the same dates as this purchase.

Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding.

Enjoy your stay.
