Hotwire Hotel: 4* Amsterdam (Schiphol Airport) Park Plaza Airport

Just booked HOTWIRE rate of 116 (including taxes and fees) USD for 4* hotel using links here and got Park Plaza amsterdam airport for 2 adults and 2 kids.

The best rate if you go directly to the hotel seems to be 89 euros + 5 fees + another 6 dollars for tax. So approximately 100 euros or 146 USD

So I guess saved $30

I wanted to be close to the airport for my next day flight.

The price I got was ok. I was hoping to get Hilton or sheraton at the airport as I am familiar with them and they are right at the airport.

It certainly is the cheapest night compared to what I am paying in rome, venice etc. Now that I have all the hotels booked I am going to go back and investigate if I can do better in these other cities through PRICELINE or HOTWIRE.
