Limmet Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 HiTrying to book 2 rooms for a total of 4 persons in vegas thru Hotwire 4th of July - 18th July. Getting $111 per night and the following amenities:5-star hotel in Las Vegas Strip - NorthCasino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Im guessing Wynn or Venetian? Anything else possible? Can someone guess at the odds of getting one or the other? Would really prefer Wynn. Also another question. Is it possible to book flight+hotel thru hotwire without specifying the hotel? For example using the hotel deal from above combined with flights for a package deal... Cant find it so I guess not but better ask...Thx for a great forum!//Limmet
Limmet Posted April 21, 2011 Author Report Posted April 21, 2011 We are a group of 4 wanting 2 rooms at 5 star North strip (Wynn would be great but venetian/palazzo would rock aswell). Stayed at wynn/encore before and loved it!Could we get some help with the bidding strategy? Never used priceline. We are thinking about starting bid around $90 and ending at ~$110 per night and room. From Sweden but we can still use priceline right? Thanks for any help! //Limmet
Limmet Posted April 21, 2011 Author Report Posted April 21, 2011 Why was this post moved from the priceline area into this post in the hotwire section? was it considered spam? In my opinion I asked two different questions placed in their apropriate forum-part? Sorry if Im mistaken.
AaronJB Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please keep all posts regarding this stay within this thread, then the post will be moved to the appropriate forum once you've finalized your purchase. The HOTWIRE listing would be a possible match for the Wynn or Venetian, although with a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating showing on the detail page (if you click "see details" to go to the detail page, then scroll about halfway down, there should be a tripadvisor logo with a 4.5/5 and 4.5/5 circles shaded) I'd lean (as since the tripadvisor ratings on HOTWIRE are not updated live, it isn't a guarantee) towards this being the Wynn (which is - at least currently - 4.5/5, while the Venetian is currently 4/5.)Given the time you have, for bidding 5* North Strip I'd start a touch lower at $80 and work up by $5's. Given HOTWIRE's $111 5* offering in the North Strip zone, I don't think you will have to go to $110 when bidding for a 5* North Strip for these dates.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links, and please let us know if you have any questions before bidding.
