zbenye Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Very nice hotel at a great central location, a half block off of Kurfurstendamm - one of the main drags. For 2 Euro (or get a daily, 3-day, weekly pass at the bus counter at the airport - highly recommended and good on all public transit types) bus number 109 will take you from the airport right to the hotel's street corner (Kurfurstendamm at Bleibtreustrasse).Room was a good size for Europe, with one queen bed and two individual blankets. Rated 3 stars, but more like a U.S. 2-2.5 stars. It was in very good condition. The air conditioner worked well.Wireless Internet available throughout the hotel but at a rate I will not pay (14 Euro/day). McDonald's at several locations provided free wireless access and I didn't mind dragging my laptop there instead.S-bahn and U-bahn stations were all close enough, and the central transit station at the zooligical garden was only 10-minutes away on foot (or hop back on bus 109 to get there). Starbucks very near as well.As always when traveling to Europe, bring with you some small soap bars and shampoo, as they only provided the all-in-one cleansing liquid.I was very satisfied with this hotel and would gladly stay there again. The staff were very informative and helpful. On check-in, however, they told me at what times breakfast would be served, but neglected to mention that it was not included for Priceline customers. Got charged 13 Euro. Good breakfast, but not good enough for that price.
