traveller378 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 New to forum. Trying to get room in Quincy Market or Copley Square arriving 5/4 and leaving 5/6. Rejected for 3 1/2 and 4 stars at up to $110. This seems high for me. Am I missing something? I don't have to be that close, but I will be on foot and want to spend as much time as possible walking the area, so don't want to be far away. Any help appreciated.
quiet1smith Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Northeastern University has graduation on the 6th. It seems they are one of the first colleges this year. Perhaps this is a factor?
AaronJB Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Rates are higher in Boston in the Spring to start with, due to nicer weather, and the May period becomes problematic due to graduations that occur at times throughout the month. What would be your desired budget per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
traveller378 Posted April 21, 2011 Author Report Posted April 21, 2011 I was hoping for around $110, but maybe I need to think more like $125?
thereuare Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 Based upon current prices i'm guessing you'll need to be ~$140-$160 for a 3.5* property... we can use whatever maximum bid you'd like, and we'll of course start lower, but i think the above is about the range at this time. What is the best rate you're able to find thru conventional booking channels? Do you want to stick with $125 as a maximum bid or do you want a strategy which goes higher should $125 be turned down? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... please click this PRICELINE link before replying.Thanks.
