I am new to Hotwire, so please forgive me if my question is so obvious.

We would like to stay in old Montreal. Since it's considered part of downtown, I won't be able to narrow down the location. Is there anything I can do to narrow down the location (so we will have a better chance to stay in old montreal)?

There is no way to narrow down a particular area when using HOTWIRE; only one hotel shows at each star rating in each zone for each set of dates, and it may be anywhere in the zone. PRICELINE does have a Convention Center - Old Montreal - Latin Quarter zone, but you have to be willing to stay anywhere within that zone.
