I've been checking daily for July 27-29 Orlando (WDW) area, Swan/Dolphin specifically, but this one just came up. Any ideas on what it is. I thought it was one of those, it has all the correct ammenities, but one more-- "childrens activities".

4*, WDW area, following ammenities--- pool(s), fitness center, business center, golf nearby, tennis nearby, childrens activities, laundry facilities self service...

$119 p/n for one room

I looked in the packages, and nothing came up with those...

Hmmm....

Does this hotel also show the Resort icon?

It looks like it may be the Royal Pacific, but the Royal Pacific in the Vacation Package also shows a restaurant icon (which this 'hotel only' search does not).

This got me thinking... a resort hotel without a restaurant?!?! Doesn't make sense to me, as i can't think of how a 4* hotel with a resort classification could not have a restaurant.

There have been 2 examples that i can remember where the Hotel description didn't meet the Vacation description which leads me to believe:

1) Hotwire is trying to disguise things more and increase opacity (which i think 'cheapens' their product if they don't show the complete amenities with both the Hotel and the Package products)

2) This hotel may indeed not be the Royal Pacific

Right, the Resturant icon, or lack of one threw me too- What kind of Resort/4 * hotel does not have a resturant???? They cannot intentionally leave off an ammenity, can they? Also, the Royal Pacific is Universal zone. What's going on here is what I'm wondering?

Thanks for straightening me out regarding the WDW/Universal zone... i've had a long day today and i was confusing it with the combining/elimination of the WD/LBV/WnW zones.

They cannot intentionally leave off an ammenity, can they?

I suppose they can do whatever they want... their game, their rules. Although as i said, i think that doing so 'cheapens' their product, but lets not assume that this is the case until proven otherwise (although i'm the one that suggested it in the first place, but as noted my zone mistake, i could be wrong to have 'jumped the gun').
