This period seems expensive.

I tried the Convention Center area not Downtown yet, as I am not sure if I would like to end up in the Marriott Chateau Champlain. I do realise that in the calendar there are a few $95 dollar successes for 14/7 and 15/7 in the Marriott.

What would be your desired max budget per night in the Convention Center zone, before you consider adding Downtown?

I guess $115,- was close to my maximum. I added Downtown and placed a bit for $101,-, no success yet. I guess that the 'problem' is 7/16 which seems to be a rather expensive night. Obviously I could for bid 7/15 and try to add an extra night as discussed elsewhere at this forum, but I don't want to take the risk of needing to move for a single night.

So not sure yet what my next move will be. Maybe I will give it another try up to %115 for both Convention Center and Downtown.

If the additional nite is much more expensive then the nite you win the odds of being able to add a nite at the same price are low, especially given your current rejections. If the hotel is available for the same price, then your current bids for both nites would be accepted.
