MBR Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Hotwire is offering me:2 Rooms, 6 people total, Chicago Loop Millenium Park 4 Star$110BoutiqueFitness centerRestaurantsBusiness CenterHi speed wifiRecommended 85% of the time.We are going to the Ford Theater/Oriental Theater and want to be near that, so that is why I picked this area.Any ideas on what this is? Also, if I bid on Priceline using a 4* in the Millenium Loop area only, what is the furthest from the theater I would be?From looking at the forums, it looks like people can sometimes get a 4* in that area for $75, which would be awesome. Finally, half of our party may arrive two nights earlier. Would I have to do a separate bid for this? The whole order would looklike this: one room for three nights, and a second room for the third night. Since it is more important to be in the same hotel onnight three, I figured I'd do two bids, and most likely move hotels for the third night.Thank you for any help or advice,Mary Beth
thereuare Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please start by reading your messages. The property above matches both the Hotel Allegro and the Hotel Burnham, so either of these would be my best guess for this one. Both are very highly rated (4.5/5.0 Tripadvisor rating) and appear to be close the Theatre. On PRICELINE the Loop zone extends as far south as the top of Grant park on W. Roosevelt Ave and theoretically your hotel could be this far south (although i don't know if there are any 4* hotels this far South, the Hilton is 4* rated and in the 'southern half' of the park)However, a different issue is that you're looking for more than 2 per room and PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy... after that it's at the discretion of the hotel. If you bid for two rooms on PRICELINE, you could receive rooms with only one bed and not enough sleeping accommodations for all six of you. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and/or how it goes and we'll try to be of further assistance. AaronJB Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 The 4* Hilton and Blackstone are far South in the Loop zone (as well as the 3.5* Wyndham Blake). While these properties would not be a far taxi ride from the theater, if you want to stay closer to the theater, I'd suggest using HOTWIRE in order to try to find properties more centrally located in the Loop. Please let us know what you decide and if you have any questions.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
